A new IM Minev column was posted today. The next installment in the Mini-Lessons from Short Games of the 21st Century series (Lesson 23: Fresh Mini-Stories from 2011) is due toward the end of August.

No new crosstables were posted this again month (still hoping to get the new Minev title completed soon).

The next installment in the Mini-Lessons from Short Games of the 21st Century series (Lesson 22: New Adventures in the English Opening) is due toward the end of July.

No new crosstables were posted this month, as I am instead focusing attention on final steps for publication of a new Minev book in the “50 Great Short Games” series. This series currently features titles of Bronstein, Miles, and Spielmann. To these will be added a new title featuring the games of Chigorin and Janowsky. If all goes well, the new title should be available for purchase in July.

A new IM Minev article was posted today. This article is another in the series “Notes From the Unpublished Archives”.

The next file upload will be a new installment in the Mini-Lessons from Short Games of the 21st Century series, Lesson 21: Nostalgia (due toward the end of June).

He offers them in the spirit of sharing: if a topic strikes your interest too, feel free to use Nikolay’s work and notes in any way you choose to complete the work on your own!)

Dr. Minev is taking a break from the “Mini-Lessons from Games of the 21st Century” series, and is instead offering some research files from his archive of ideas. These articles represent topics of interest to Nikolay - facinating mating patterns, interesting opening ideas, and the like - on which he has collected information and started initial work. But they are not completed, finished works. He offers them in the spirit of sharing: if a topic strikes your interest too, feel free to use Nikolay’s work and notes in any way you choose to complete the work on your own!
